         Little Eagle Child Care Center is a non-profit child care center that was established in 1990 to provide quality child care for the children of the local federal agencies and the general public. 

   Our facility has been established to provide a pleasant and creative learning environmnet for these children.  In providing child care services, your children come first.                                                                    

  Our facility is committed to the highest ethical and professional standards as recognized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

 

 

      For nearly 80 years the National Association for the Education of Young Children has worked to raise the quality of programs for all children from birth through age 8.  A major part of NAEYC's efforts to improve early childhood education is through different systems of accreditation for programs that are committed to meeting national standards of quality.

Our Vision

   Little Eagle serves as a role model for the community, fostering happiness and developing "life-long learning skills for enduring success" for children, staff, and families.  Caring professional staff nurtures this environment.

 Full and Part Time

      We offer full and part time child care for children ages six weeks to twelve years of age.  We also have drop in services for school age children.  We have a before and after school program on the premises of the VA for children that attend Berkeley Heights Elementary School and Orchard View Intermediate School.

Location

   We are located outside the IRS building in Kearneysville, WV.  Our school age programs are on the premises of the VA Medical Center.  Our center is child oriented and physically designed to provide opportunities from a little person's perspective.  We have a multitude of high quality toys, games and equipment in our classrooms for each age group.  All of this is provided by a warm, caring staff of child care professionals.

Nutrition

      Nutrition is a vital element in planning for a child's day.  We provide balanced meals: breakfast, lunch, and a snack, that children enjoy eating.  We follow all USDA guidelines for child care centers.
